TATTON HALL

Built at the turn of the 18th Century, Tatton Hall was made into a treasure filled home by the Edgerton family, which has now become one of the National Trust's finest collections of paintings, famous first edition books and priceless furniture...

Built in a neo-classical style, Tatton Hall is now the venue for a number of exhibitions which are showcased throughout the year...

COURTYARD AND TEA SHOP

Set behind the hall is the old cobbled courtyard, where the park's tea shop is located along with a range of other shops and amenities including toilets...

... with plenty of outside seating with tables available, this makes the ideal place to stop on your travels...

WAR TIME/ NATURE TRAIL AND AIRBOURNE FORCES MEMORIAL

Erected by the Parachute Regiment in 1973, a large stone monolithic-style war memorial is approached by an avenue of 50 planted trees, formerly the landing zone of the nearby Ringway parachute training school...

With thousands of UK and allied troopers who came from across all of the Common Wealth countries to train here, this is a place which allows us to reflect on the freedoms we have today, thanks to the selfless efforts of a generation who gave up their tomorrow...

THE FARM

As one of only 17 farms in the country to receive the Rare Breeds Accreditation, the 40 acres which make up Tatton Park's farm include historic buildings and the 18th century mill, where you can watch demonstrations of farming methods from both the present day and bygone times...

Also in the farm is a range of children's activity areas, all aimed at bringing their imagination to life...

THE MERES

Both Tatton Mere and the Melchett Mere make the perfect lake side spots to enjoy your bicycle picnic, regardless of the time of year...  Throughout the seasons the surrounding scenery transforms in colours from bright greens and blossoms of the spring and summer time, to an ombre of firey reds and golden tones towards the autumn and winter time...

TATTON OLD HALL

Pedal over the hilltop, past the flock of deer and into the woodland area to find an old, red bricked medieval hall as it starts to emerge through the rustling trees... 

What then opens up in front of you is the historic site of the original Tatton Hall.  Nearby is the site of Tatton Village, now lost to the passage of time, only humps and hallows in the ground show where houses once stood...

With costumed guided tours available and plenty of places to lock up the bikes nearby, you can be transported back in time to see what Tudor life was like in the old hall, which still flickers in the dim light of tallow candles and crackling fire...
